Yes to the Dress and Pomander try

I have so many ART DOLL ideas that seem to be spilling graciously over into my new foray as a DIY wedding lady... Because this is the wedding of two artists, a certain amount of artistic flair is expected...

So, this is my first attempt at a pomander- or kissing ball. they will be tied to the back row of chairs, or hooked down our isle. I am not sure yet where or how they will be implemented, but I really like the mixing of happy colors and textures.

I said YES, to the dress and i love it! I felt a bit like Giselle in it. I will not spring into song and have woodland creatures sitting on the tip of my finger though... But when I wear it I think I blink more...
My studio is looking very cool because all of the raw materials are there waiting to be used for DIY wedding or trappings of a vintage inspired Art Doll.... : ) My art dolls have taken to Paris... See pictures of their wanderings soon!

love and happiness

When children find love, parents find happiness. This is a quote shared on one of the boards I am pleased to be part of... It's true... When my son grows to be a man, I hope for love in his life. This would make me burst with joy because this means he took the journey and found something special.
This is one of my latest art dolls, she is pouty ... but believe me she has her reasons! More to come... very soon, I left my camera on and low and behold ... the battery is gone!

My Plan!!!

This happy day finds us tucked merrily in our gypsy cottage dreaming of pretty wedding and concocting amazing DIY tasks that undoubtedly will cost more than just buying the desired thing... My plan is simple, I will make 5 pumpkin dolls to coordinate my wedding, each having a task or something to monitor.
My theme is fabulously vintage. I am collecting a myriad of fancies to incorporate into our big day. I ventured to Marshall, MI yesterday in search of something and found 5 somethings, all lovely and all to reside in the studio until used or incorporated into a doll or this amazing wedding!
Our venue:Greencrest Manor click here Mister Artist and I love this place!
I am creating and spending time with my little guy today... which is close to my heart in the category of things I LOVE!!!

Prim Kate a pumpkin of vintage delight

Prim Kate emerged from the studio in her finest couture. Brocade bustling about in prim fashion... I am so excited about how the fabric lifted ever so gently when I added a bit of pouf! Prim Kate has a very nice damask bodice and the top skirt is a vintage variety. Colors for blue and golden come together and create a rich lustrous weave.

Kate's hat is lovely! Made with only the finest in vintage millinery, and lots of love, of course! Kate's look is regal.
