My hands are so dry, I think the clay mixture I use drys them out even more. Oh well, as much as I have tried for "pretty" hands, it's OK if they are not. I do things with my hands, They are occupationally referred to as "dish pan" In a former lifetime, my boyfriend had this mom and pops restaurant. I spent many hours of my life washing and scrubbing in hot water- kind of a metaphor for our life together.... live and learn and learn and learn! my hand are like 200 years old!
My niece came over for a sleepover on Friday! What fun! We went to the mall, took in our favorite shop- Hollister, and wandered... We found a Japanese shop specializing in oddities. My niece found POCKY! This delight is a must! We made a video about Pocky, but in editing it I became seasick and had to jump ship... So Pocky is like a biscuit stick dipped in chocolate. Very Yum! and you should try them! I originally found them at TARGET. A treat too good to pass up!
Anyway, I was downtown last night. I walked past "the" dress shop... in our area(Memories) This place really knows how to make a girl drool with the color and sparkle, they may as well have displayed a thousand cupcakes all dusted with diamond glitter... yes, it was that pretty. One dress in particular caught my eye. My friend Heather loves peacocks, she is known for it, and there stood a dress she would have loved. It was silky halter style and just beautiful... in all of the colors of a lovely peacock. It made me actually want to go to prom again. If you are in the mood have a look.
When I was reading my friend Heather's blog last week, I was touched by the quote she posted. I love this quote to pieces and I have not thought about it for about 5 years. and to see it there really felt good, like a warm blanket and a cuppa hot Godiva. Thought I'd share with you:
"Whenever I get one of those questionnaires and they ask what is your profession, I always put down housewife. It's an admirable profession, why apologize for it. You aren't stupid because you're a housewife. When you're stirring the jam you can read Shakespeare."
--- Tasha Tudor, "The Private World of Tasha Tudor"
Which made me think about going confidently in the direction of my dreams.. another quote I love...
The pure randomness of this post is true to the nature of the day!
If your little one has a runny nose and cough this is what I found out:
A tsp. of honey before bed
Vick's on the bottoms of the feet, covered in socks.. indoors only
Propel/Gatorade/flat coke is good... just keep them drinking.
Warm apple juice
humidifier.. cool mist.
Hope your week is full of love.

Jennie writing translator:
(Art in any Medium is about feeding
part of you... not selling, but feeding. YUM!)
A slice of my inspiration journal...Many women in my family have kept a journal as a cathartic process of reflection. Now, I do not recommend putting elicit or otherwise salacious bits that may be used against you at a later date, down on a page. But if you would love a simple routine, a small chance of exploring, this may be nice for you. If you happen to be in the market for a new year’s resolution, keeping a journal of things that inspire or that you are grateful for is a happy one to have. Even if you enter just one thing a day you are grateful for... and there simply must be one... You are focusing in on the positives of life.
Now on to this positive... I am finally creating with wild abandon... I am unattached to the outcome and when I can disconnect the two (creating and selling) I am in my quiet center.... In this center is where I do my best.
Halloween art is where I am comfortable and now more than ever I am creating from my heart.... even though it may be a Tell Tale Heart .
