I have to share these boots with you! I saw them back in Nov. and thought they were very cool! My Mom thought they were cool as well and gifted me with them for Christmas. I have been wearing the heck out of them since that day! The color is awesome and they are not like the sassy, heeled boots of my former career. I’ve learned that I can be fashionable AND carry a baby on my hip. I have lots of very cool tall boots with heels and after I had my boy it pains me to no end to wear them. So- I love these and they make me happy!

Well this is one of the things off of my "to do" list from last week, yes, I usually run a week behind. he he ha! I listed a doll on eBay today! It's hard putting your art out there for others to critique, observe, admire or..."borrow" ideas from. Anyway, I am pleased to offer my Old Pumpkin Lady. She is a three day auction and quite enchanting in her Prim Pumpkin way!

Let me know what you think.. ideas on making listings better, better ways to sell... I am all ears- well I do have eyes and a nose as well! : )

Meijer Garden

Prim Pumkin doesn't always stay in the studio... We escaped to the butterfly exhibit at Fredrik Meijer Gardens located about an hour away in Grand Rapids, Mi. It was amazing!

My little Pumpkin played his heart out!

He was truely in awe!

Tamer of the Dragon!

With all of this excitement I have also been working on a new doll!

A New Adventure of Prim Pumpkin

As my little one and I ventured into the soggy garden, we came upon peonies peeking from their earthen slumber...
Amidst the peonies we saw two panda bears standing tall and we knew that we we intering someplace special, it was the home of the old pumpkin lady.

She is protected by a large bear wearing a crown.

She was so happy to see us!

I thought her bodice was so spooky with bones as the closures! Her skirt was upcycled. It first took it's life as a tea tablecloth.

Her tights were that of black and white stripe!

We had a wonderful time with her, although she didn't say much! As she turned to go we saw a web on her sweet pumpkin head. This proved that she is truely a friendly old pumpkin lady as she is happy to give rides to spidery people.

This is my partner in adventure!

He is using the force to tame this monster! - Very powerful boy he is...

Thank you for looking a the old pumpkin lady- a Prim Pumpkin Creation.

Miss Spider

I was bound and determined to get some photos of my new dolls yesterday and I had to dodge raindrops to do so! Without further delay... this is my Miss Spider Lady! She is a sight to behold. She has four arms and four legs - all ready to scurry about the soggy garden. She is planning a tea party! Her body is sparkled with pieces of mica. This is a close up of her spidery mug!

This is Miss Spider playing in a soggy garden.

I hope you have enjoyed the miss spider photos.

I am sad to announce the weekend is over! It was very productive. I was able to finish two dolls and I have started a third. I am working hard this week on establishing a style that sets my doll apart from the rest of the doll community… I have a couple of ideas. I wish for divine inspiration and ample blessings on creating a distinctive style. All of my dolls are Halloween inspired and primitive but I am searching for something more…
I so wanted to take photos of the two wonderful ladies created this weekend, but the weather here in Michigan is so wacky! During my 45 minute commute to work I saw light rain, drizzle, snow and now light rain. I need some sunshine, although it is a PERFECT POE DAY!

Dreams oh Sweet dreams! I awoke the other morning to brisk air meeting my nose. I knew the day was going to be great, blessed and full of possibility. Possibility is the key of the day, I think. I need to position my dolls for success! I am in the midst of learning my camera which is way more complicated that it should be , and creating new dolls left and right so this weeks goal is to list one on eBay to see if that is the venue for me. My brisk day of possibility folded around my dolls. A road trip was in order. I packed up my ladies and out the door we went!

We had a great time!

I just wanted to share a bit of what I am working on! The weather in Michigan is teasing us a bit... It' s really warm fro a day or two and then snow again! My studio is all painted and workable. It's really a lovely place to create and the notion that my little guy is underfoot-in the midst of all of this happy dollie making is the best! Enjoy!
